Important: The use of feature detection functionalities, including but not limited to the Smart Detection, on captured video (collectively, the “Feature Detection”) may be regulated in your country, territory or local jurisdiction. You are advised to comply with all applicable statutes, laws and regulations in connection with the use of such Feature Detection.

In connection with the use of the Feature Detection, You shall (a) obtain all necessary national, federal, state, municipal and regulatory agency approvals, licenses and registrations worldwide in connection with the use of such Feature Detection and (b) comply with all requirements of applicable statutes, laws and regulations, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union, the Biometric Information Privacy Act of the State of Illinois, the biometric privacy act of the State of Texas, the biometric privacy law of the State of Washington, the California Consumer Privacy Act, state privacy breach notification laws, state consumer protection laws and all other laws and regulations in any jurisdiction worldwide that govern the collection, storage, transmission, handling or utilization of personal data, biometric data or information (for example, the statistical representation of a face). The applicable laws might require, including but without limitation, receipt of informed consent of individuals whose personal data, biometric data or information is being collected and/or stored in a database, as well as various security requirements around the storage, transmission, handling and utilization of personal data, biometric data or information. In addition, the applicable laws might require, including without limitation, provision to individuals of a “right to be forgotten,” which might mean that individuals may require that a database controller remove that individual’s personal data, biometric data or information from such database. You acknowledge and agree that You are solely responsible for and solely liable for compliance with all applicable statutes, laws and regulations relating to the collection, storage, transmission, handling and utilization of any personal data, biometric data or information and that Ubiquiti, its licensors, its suppliers and their respective affiliates, officers, employees, directors, shareholders, and agents (the “Ubiquiti Parties”) not be held liable hereunder for compliance with any of the foregoing.
